Sew a Sunglasses Case

Hey y’all, today I’m sharing a video tutorial to sew this sunglasses case with a secret – the snappy closure is made with metal measuring tape! I’ve shown how to do this before in a written tutorial, so if you prefer that style over video you can find it here.

How to Make a Sunglasses Case

To see how I made this case, check out the video below. You can also watch on YouTube here if it won’t load.

This one is sewn in my Blooms and Bobbins fabric line, and I’m so excited this is now available in stores! At the time of publication, you can get this fabric in these places:
Fat Quarter Shop
Missouri Star
FabricWorm
In this project I used the Blue Sparkle Sewing and Blue Sparkle Stitches prints.

In the tutorial video, I also used this point turner (affiliate link), this ladder stitch method to sew the turning gap closed, and this self leveling foot trick.
